In 1978 Clara and I got married, Thatcher was about to put Britain back to work and BRUCE CATTANACH
 had the wonderful idea of freezing dog semen!

We are still married , Britain is still not working,and Bruces tadpoles were still lying dormant until we woke them
 up 9 weeks ago. The result is we have an AI litter, a bobtail dog and a natural tailed bitch, not much maybe but
enough of a start for PICTLAND to go forward in health and looks and leave the mire that is dog selection at the
 momment.
CH STEYNMERE SUMMER GOLD was a champion when good Boxers were plentiful and healthy! He was
 exported to the USA and featured in the lines of great american dogs such as Gemini Splashdown and
Tribute to Fa fa.He also featured in the UK Champion FAERDORN FINEAS FOGG.

He was a grandson ( doubled) of CH SEEFELD PICASSO and now his DNA is ticking away here at PICTLAND!

WHY BOBTAILS?
I am asked this all the time, a great many people still do not beleive there are such animals, even professional people WHO SHOULD
 know better. So I felt a little picture study might help. You will see from these pictures our tailed girl 'RUBY' who is nursing the
 ULTIMO litter right now. And our 8 month old new Boy 'LOKI' he is a nineth generation bobtail. That means his percentage of
outcross is much less than 1 percent! NO BORGIE HERE!

I leave it to you to decide which is preferable, with one footnote, the number of amputations of dogs who were tradionally
 docked in the past has risen steadily since the ban came into force.
 I ask you where is the logic?

REMEMBER - BOTH these dogs are ELIGIBLE for showing even though we still asked 'ARE YOU FROM IRELAND'
we just have to keep educating folks and explaining that BOBS are NATURAL SHORT TAILS , NOT DOCKED!
